Gunnar
G-3
October 3, 2002
This is the engine
that will be used for the new G-3. It is a 935-962 based racing
engine that will be tuned electronically for street or race
use.
The engine
incorporates the Porsche Indy oil pump with titanium rods
and lightweight steel countershaft. The displacement of the
engine will be 3.2 litres. This engine will be air cooled
and be twin turbo. The engine will make between 650-800 horsepower
and more, but that depends on how we map the engine for power.
A note to the new owner of the G-3: It'll make even more horsepower
on nitrous oxide, but the life of the engine will be shortened.
Here are the heads
and the cam towers. They will be assembled next week. The
red items in the picture are the famous Porsche racing flat
cooling fans, big horsepower needs big cooling.
Stay Tuned!
